According to Riddler Khu, who is perhaps the most reliable leaker in the Pokemon community, there is still an as-of-yet unrevealed Pokemon for Scarlet and Violet's DLC based on Pokemon White. This information comes shortly after Pokemon Scarlet and Violet revealed new details for the first DLC, unveiling new Pokemon like Dipplin, Archaludon, Raging Bolt, and Iron Crown. The latter two Pokemon are Paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion.
Of course, Pokemon games come in pairs, and the Scarlet and Violet DLC isn't ignoring Pokemon Black for just White. Khu's latest teaser, as seen below, shows an image where it's clear that certain inspirations are being worked into new Pokemon. For Pokemon Black, that Pokemon has already been revealed - Archaludon. Although an evolution of Gen 8's Duralodon, Archaludon's design is reminiscent of Black City and seemingly inspired by it.
This information may help narrow down the Pokemon White creature, as Khu's image shows Archaludon as associated with Black City and teases an unconfirmed Pokemon with White Forest. In other words, there's likely some form of Tree Pokemon that has yet to be unveiled. Archaludon would suggest that this Pokemon isn't necessarily from Gen 5 and that it's not an entirely new Pokemon either, but an evolution. This has led some to believe that Dipplin will evolve again, taking on the form of an Apple Tree, and that's certainly possible. However, Dipplin becoming a full tree in its next evolution would be quite a dramatic leap. Not impossible, but it does seem like another Pokemon getting some attention is likely in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Since Duralodon's design is already similar to city structures, it's possible that this new evolution is based on an existing Tree-based Pokemon. This assumption, which is pure speculation, could then narrow it down to Sudowoodoo, Trevenant, Shiftry, Exeggutor, and a handful of others. It ultimately remains to be seen, as Khu isn't exactly one to confirm rumors or leaks, so fans will have to wait and see if Game Freak reveals this Pokemon ahead of the DLC's release.
At the very least, Pokemon fans now have a date for the first DLC. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Teal Mask DLC is set to release on September 13, and it'll be interesting to see how it expands on the new creatures, the ongoing story, and more.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available now for Nintendo Switch.
