Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are closing out the month of May with a Bug-type Mass Outbreak event that will run from May 30 to June 1. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have a weekend to score a trio of Bug-type Pokemon that are known to use silk.
Pokemon Mass Outbreaks are a regular occurrence, giving players an opportunity to find select Pokemon species in large numbers. In addition to giving players a good opportunity to add select Pokemon to their collections and to find some with good stats, Mass Outbreaks also typically include a boost to Shiny rates, making them a great opportunity to hunt the included Pokemon.
Shiny Hunting in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is About to Be Suddenly Easier
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are about to get a big upgrade with the upcoming release of the Switch 2, also affecting shiny hunting.
Now, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are gearing up to welcome June with the addition of a Silk-themed Mass Outbreak Event that focuses on Bug-type Pokemon. This time, the Pokemon players will be able to find in Mass Outbreaks include Tarountula in Paldea, Spinarak in Kitakami, and Venonat in the Terarium. The next Mass Outbreak will begin on May 29 at 5 pm Pacific Time, and will end on June 1 at 4:59 pm PT. Players may have better luck catching Shiny versions, as well, as the rate will be boosted for the duration of the Mass Outbreak event.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Players Have Things to Do and Look Forward To
Though the games will already leave players with very little time to hunt down their favorite silk-using Bug-types, it's not the only event to enjoy over the course of that weekend. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will also hold the second run of the Garchomp the Unrivaled Seven-Star Tera Raid. During the same period of time. Garchomp the Unrivaled will be a Ground Tera type.
For those who have already completed the Tera raid and aren't interested in the available Mass Outbreak Pokemon, the game will also be giving away a free Porygon2 soon. A Mystery Gift code for Porygon2 will be released following the finals of the South Korea Pokemon Trainers Cup, which runs from June 7 to 8.
While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched nearly three years ago, the franchise is still giving players things to keep busy with. However, some fans may already have their focus solely on the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is set to launch sometime this year. With recent leaks indicating that a Nintendo Direct may be coming soon, Pokemon fans may want to keep their eyes open for potential updates on the title.
