The next special Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid will take place this weekend. These types of events have appeared in a few of Game Freak's titles over the years in different iterations, allowing players to fight and capture special pocket monsters that are available for a limited time. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature Tera Raids, which have gamers take on various creatures in a Terastal form.Introduced in Generation Two, Blissey is the Happiness Pokemon. The pocket monster evolves from Chansey when leveled up while having a high friendship level with its trainer. Blissey is tied with the Legendary Pokemon Eternatus for the highest base HP stat and has the highest Special Defense of all Normal-Types. It has been announced that the next special Tera Raid will feature the Pokemon Blissey and will be a rerun of an earlier raid. It will start on April 21 and will run through April 23. The battles will be 5-star raids and will feature increased Exp. Candy and Tera Shard awards. The Blisseys that players run into during the event will not have a specific Tera type, which means that gamers will be able to catch one of their preferred Type if they can find it.
The Blissey raid will run alongside the second part of the Typhlosion Tera Raid event. These Tera Raids will be 7-star battles, which gamers will have to unlock before participating in them. All the Typhlosions encountered during the event will have a Ghost Terastal Type, a nod to the pocket monster's alternate form from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This may be the last chance that players will have to catch the Generation Two starter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as it is not normally available in the game's region.
Tera Raid events are great chances for gamers to capture pocket monsters that do not normally appear in the Paldea region from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet or have special forms. Some of the raids are spotlights for certain creatures, while others are meant to celebrate holidays such as Christmas or Valentine's Day. There is no doubt that a good number of special Tera Raids are on the horizon, especially since the franchise's new anime recently started. There is also DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the way, which will most likely influence unique raids in the future. This will be a great way to keep gamers playing Game Freak's titles even after they have beaten them.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
