One talented Pokemon fan reimagined Mew as a more realistic-looking and acting cat. While the Mythical creature takes design inspiration from the house cat, it doesn't act much like a feline outside its meow-like sound it makes while calling out its own name. In both Japan and the West, Mew's name is based on the sounds kittens make. But again, while this onomatopoeia and the overall design are obviously feline-inspired, there are certainly other creatures in the Pokemon franchise that act far more like a typical house cat.
