A Pokemon fan has shared an impressive pair of concepts for Mega Evolutions for Slowking and Azumarill. The impressive designs wouldn't look out of place in the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with the fan even going so far as including rendered 3D images demonstrating how the Pokemon would look in-game.

Mega Evolutions are returning in the core Pokemon series, and fans are pretty excited for it. The more recent titles have all had unique takes on the Pokemon franchise and the way the Pokemon power up, giving them a variety of unique forms like Dynamax and Gigantamax, which allow Pokemon to power-up mid-battle. It's been a while since players have gotten to enjoy Mega Evolutions, though, and the excitement for the return seems to have some fans imagining new ideas.

One such fan is HertzBurst, who shared their concepts for both Mega Slowking and Mega Azumarill. HertzBurst decided to share their own Mega Evolutions since the Pokemon Presents trailer didn't show off any new ones. Fans pointed out that Mega Azumarill seems to have taken a page from Pokemon like Mega Ampharos and Altaria, as it has similar cloud-like fluff on its head and body. Meawhile, Mega Slowking seems like a fitting advancement of the actual Mega Slowbro in the games, with Mega Slowking's entire upper body engulfed by Shellder, whereas Mega Slowbro only has its head and part of its upper body sticking up out of the Shellder.

Fan Mega Pokemon Look Great In 3D, Too

HertzBurst included standard illustrations of the Pokemon they've dreamed up, as well as Shiny variants and full 3D renders. Mega Slowking gains a gold Shellder and a purple body in its Shiny variant, while Mega Azumarill turns primarily yellow. The 3D renditions of the two Pokemon fan designs look excellent, and it's easy to imagine them fitting into an actual game as-is. This may not surprise fans of HertzBurst, though, as the fan artist regularly makes waves with the Pokemon they design.

With fans eagerly anticipating official news on which Pokemon will get Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, it seems the developers intend to keep the fans waiting by saving some of the most exciting reveals for later on. In the meantime, Pokemon artists will be hard at work keeping the fanbase entertained with unique ideas like these two Mega Evolutions. Whether the actual Mega Evolutions joining the series in the official game live up to the anticipation remains to be seen.
