Summary

  • A talented fan artist designed Mega Victreebel based on the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, rumored to feature an official Mega evolution of the creature.
  • The Mega Victreebel design features an upside-down stance, more leaves and teeth, and a yellow and red color scheme resembling flycatcher plants.
  • Other rumored Mega evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A include longer-legged Starmie and crown-wearing Chesnaught, inspiring fans to create more fan art.

A talented fan artist has recently designed their own Mega evolution for Victreebel, which is rumored to get an official Mega evolution in the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Pokemon Legends: Z-A will be the next game in the franchise, and fans have been demonstrating their excitement for the upcoming title with incredible fan art lately.

Victreebel is a classic Grass/Poison-type monster originally introduced in the first generation of Pokemon games, being only obtainable without trading in Pokemon Blue and Yellow. Victreebel is the last form of Bellsprout, which can evolve into Weepinbell starting at Level 21. After a trainer uses a Leaf Stone on a Weepinbell, it finally becomes Victreebel. Before now, Victreebel never gained a Mega evolution, so it can be exciting for fans to imagine what it would look like.

Pokemon Fan Designs Fighting-Type Eeveelution

A talented Pokemon fan artist designs a new Fighting-type evolution for Eevee, one of the most popular critters introduced in Gen 1.

Now, a prolific Pokemon fan artist called HertzBurst designed a Mega Victreebel. In this new form, Mega Victreebel stands upside down, has more leaves and teeth, and its colors have been slightly changed. Instead of having a fully yellow body with green leaves, the new take on this creature has both yellow and red skin that resembles real-life flycatcher plants. In the post’s comments, multiple fans complimented HertzBurst for how well-done the design was, and the fan received many upvotes.

Pokemon Fan Imagines Unique Mega Evolution of Victreebel

According to HertzBurst, this creation was the fan’s personal take on a Mega Victreebel rumored to appear in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. A few weeks ago, a leak indicated that Victreebel would be one of the 27 critters getting a Mega evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, exciting fans of the Grass/Poison-type monster.

HertzBurst is not the only fan making Mega evolutions for monsters that will appear in the next Pokemon game, though. Earlier this month, another fan designed Mega evolutions for the three starters of Pokemon Legends: Z-A: Feraligatr, Meganium, and Emboar.

Both fan art and leaks of the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A have increased in intensity recently. One of the newest leaks, for example, has given possible details on new Mega evolutions that will appear in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. According to a trustworthy leaker, Mega Starmie will get longer legs that will allow it to run on dry land, while Mega Chesnaught will wear a crown and have an orange shield. Other critters, such as Mega Delphox, will be able to stand on their broom, and Mega Greninja will have darker colors and a larger shuriken. Hopefully, these new potential designs will inspire even more fans to create amazing Pokemon fan art.
