A Pokemon fan has created an incredible replica of the Master Ball, the most powerful Poke Ball in the game. This stellar work of Pokemon art rendered this iconic purple Poke Ball exactly how it would look in real life.
The Master Ball is an item that any Pokemon fan can recognize in an instant. This ultimate tool can be found in almost every game, where it has a 100% chance to catch any creature, including hard-to-get Legendary Pokemon.
Now, Pokemon fan and handicraft expert Themagicnumber_3 has recreated the Master Ball in real life and shared it on the Pokemon subreddit. According to the artist, the Master Ball from the Pokemon series was made in three parts before it was put together. They 3D-printed the different sections, sanded and primed them multiple times, and used various coatings of UV resin, green stuff, and airbrushed paint. The Master Ball’s button was made with a momentary switch, which they said gave it a satisfying heft.
This is actually not the first Poke Ball replica Themagicnumber_3 has created. Just over a week earlier, they shared models of a Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Premier Ball they had previously crafted. These well-made models caught the attention of fans, prompting them to design the Master Ball after popular demand. Fans also requested other popular Poke Balls from Pokemon, such as a Luxury Ball and Quick Ball, so perhaps Themagicnumber_3 will make them in the future.
Themagicnumber_3 has created other fantastic pieces of art besides Poke Balls. Just a few weeks earlier, they shared an adorable model of Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard posing together on a stone spire. Outside the Pokemon franchise, Themagicnumber_3 also made a light-up model of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing from Star Wars, and a fiery pilot helmet from Titanfall. They seem to craft impressive artwork when bored, so hopefully, Themagicnumber_3 doesn't find something else too interesting so they can keep impressing fans with their creativity.
As a franchise, Pokemon has a way of inspiring its fans to feats of artistry. Fans have transformed their favorite Pokemon into magical girls, designed alternate forms for them, and created real-life sculptures dedicated to them. With nearly 30 years of history behind it, Pokemon fans can be found across multiple generations, and considering the franchise shows no signs of slowing down, artistic trainers will surely continue crafting tributes for their favorite creatures for years to come.
