A Pokemon fan artist took to social media to share their vision of what a Mega Evolution of Marowak would look like, also posting the new form's elemental types. The Pokemon fan artist quickly received compliments from the community, with some pointing out further improvements that could be made to Mega Marowak's design.
Known as the Bone Keeper Pokemon, Marowak first appeared in Pokemon Red and Blue. Marowak evolves from Cubone at level 28 and is a pure Ground-type Pokemon in its original incarnation. The creature also received an Alolan regional form in Pokemon Sun and Moon, which required evolving a Cubone at night starting at level 28. Upon its evolution, Alolan Marowak becomes a Fire and Ghost dual-type Pokemon instead of a Ground-type. Both Marowak variants carry a large bone club and can use moves like Bonemerang, Shadow Bone, and Earthquake to devastate their foes. Unfortunately, the Cubone and Marowak line remains unobtainable in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Cards Stolen in Armed Robbery
Armed thieves in Japan rob a hobby store and demand cards from the Pokemon TCG despite not knowing which cards are valuable and which aren't.
Although Pokemon fan art featuring Marowak has appeared online before, one trainer recently sought to give the Bone Keeper Pokemon a new form. Reddit user Just-Drawing-Mons returned to the Pokemon subreddit to share their concept of what a Mega Marowak would look like. Using the original form of Marowak from Pokemon Red and Blue as the base, Mega Marowak kept its brown body and white skull but gained additional bone spikes in the design, appearing on its tail, chest, and shoulders. The bone skull was also sharpened on the top and front, with the creature's red eyes peering through darkened sockets. Mega Marowak's bone club was also made larger compared to the standard Marowak's weapon, and red markings were placed on the Bone Keeper Pokemon's arms and legs. The drawing also included a Mega Evolution symbol in the background.

Just-Drawing-Mons also gave Mega Marowak the dual types of Ground and Fighting but did not give any further information about Mega Marowak's abilities, moves, or statistics. When paired with Marowak's high physical defense, the new Ground and Fighting dual-typing would make Mega Marowak a viable Ground-type Pokemon in competitive battles, as it would share types with a powerful Paradox Pokemon called Great Tusk. In response to Just-Drawing-Mons' latest work, some Pokemon fans compared Mega Marowak's eyes and body shape to Greymon from Digimon, while another suggested changing the shape of Mega Marowak's bone club to a battleaxe.
While Marowak has not appeared in the ninth generation of Pokemon games, the upcoming title Pokemon Legends: Z-A will see Mega Evolution return as the game's battle gimmick. Whether Marowak makes an appearance alongside an official Mega form remains to be seen.
