The Pokemon Company has recently announced a new wave of merchandise coming to the Pokemon Center Japan, and one of the products is a life-sized Gardevoir plush. Towering plushies are nothing new in the world of Pokemon, as fans previously went mad for the giant Snorlax plush, and the cost was seemingly justified because trainers could guarantee a good night’s sleep on the pocket monster’s stomach.

Pokemon Fan Gives Lugia a Luigi-Themed Makeover

Inspired by the Super Mario franchise, one creative Pokemon fan gives Lugia a Luigi-themed makeover, and the results are impressive.

The Pokemon Center announced that the life-sized Gardevoir plush would be launched within the new “Psycho Cyber” line, measuring approximately 62 x 25 x 16 inches (160 x 65 x 42cm), and it’s similar to Pokemon’s 2024 release of the life-sized Porygon plush. Revolving around Psychic-type Pokemon, the new line will also feature t-shirts, keychains, and other themed accessories, and a majority of the products will go on sale on February 8, 2025. However, fans can bag the Gardevoir plush earlier on February 6, 2025, for around $319 (49,500 yen), via the Pokemon Center’s website.

Pokemon Center Debuts new Life-Sized Gardevoir Plush

Fans were amazed by the realistic-looking plushie and were dying to know the fairly reasonable cost. One fan named the Gardevoir plushie the new sleep paralysis demon on Twitter, once it arrived at home, but many fans were prepared to go broke to purchase theirs. Due to the Pokemon’s design and characteristics, Pokemon fans have imagined Gardevoir as a human before, which is a transformation the Pokemon Center was trying to achieve with the plush. In Pokemon lore, Gardevoir stands approximately 5 ft 3 in (160 cm) tall, which is around the height of a petite human.

Another product line expanded last year before 2025 dawned, this time from the Build-a-Bear company. Pokemon and Build-a-Bear launched the Riolu plush back in November, joining an already-packed roster of plushie pocket monsters, including Charmander, Mimikyu, Eevee, Squirtle, Cubone, and more. During the holiday season, Pokemon-themed Squishmallows were also selling like hotcakes, which suggests every Pokemon fan of all ages has a plushie of their favorite creature at home in some form.
