Mega Golisopod is another surprise addition to Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC roster, and players are going nuts about this Pokemon and its sudden type-change. When Mega evolving, the Bug/Water-type of Golisopod changes into Bug/Steel, overturning most of its weaknesses and changing the flow of battle.
A definite candidate to earn the title of Top-3 Best Non Legendary Mega Evolutions, Mega Golisopod is here to stay. But will this be enough to remain as a Meta pick in the foreseeable future? Players should check this guide for everything they need to know about how to get Golisopod and Mega Golisopod in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, as well as its best moves, EVs, nature, and more.

How To Get Mega Golisopod in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC
Before getting Mega Golisopod, players need to catch and evolve
Wimpod into
Golisopod (evolves at lvl. 30). Wimpod can be found in 1 and 2-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones, which are unlocked as players progress through the Mega Dimension DLC content.
Once players have progressed enough with the Hyperdimension Survey Missions, some special Distortions will start popping up all over Lumiose. These Yellow Marks with the Label 'Unknown Mega Evolution Detected!' are what players are looking for.
Run towards one of these Rifts, and challenge the Pokemon inside. The one with Mega Golisopod often pops after beating Rogue Mega Golurk, and Rogue Mega Glimmora, so keep an eye out for it.
Mega Golisopod is a Bug/Steel-type Pokemon, so bring a nice Mega Evolved Charizard Y or X (or any other Fire Mega) to beat it into submission. After that, collect the Golisopite Mega Stone to make Golisopod evolve into its Mega form.

Best Mega Golisopod Moves, EV Spread & Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Mega Golisopod is a tricky Pokemon to build, mainly because it has a lot of coverage moves that can be added to its moveset to surprise the rival. It has a BST of 630 with a ton of Physical Attack (one of the top 10 heavy hitters of the roster), and it also has a lot of Physical Defense, which grants it enough bulk to go toe-to-toe against some of the most infamous melee spammers in the meta.
Since Mega Golisopod becomes 4x Vulnerable to Fire-type moves, be careful not to mega evolve in the presence of pokemon like
Charizard,
Heatran or
Blaziken.
Its ideal EV Spread for Bulk and Stopping Power should be 252 HP / 252 Atk/ 4 Speed, and its ideal nature is Adamant. Since players might want to add Aqua Jet or First Impression to Golisopod's moveset, it doesn't need too much speed.
But be careful, First Impression is a high-priority move, but unlike Aqua Jet, it can only be used once per battle (although there's currently a way to reset the move by recalling Golisopod).
Finally, players will want to complete their build with moves like Night Slash or Iron Head (for coverage), and Muddy Water, sold at the Secret TM Vendor in exchange for 420 Mega Shards.
