Most of the Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A are contained in Wild Zones where they can run free, but some Pokemon, like Ralts, can't be found in any Wild Zones. You'll have to explore very specific parts of Lumiose City if you want to catch Ralts in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
A fan-favorite ever since its debut in Generation 3, Ralts is pretty rare in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Not only is it not found in any Wild Zones, but most of its favorite hangout spots are hard to reach. Once you know where to look, however, you shouldn't have any trouble catching a Ralts of your own.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Ralts Location
Ralts is not found in Wild Zones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Instead, its Pokedex entry stats that it lives near grass and is often seen in courtyards. To find a Ralts, you'll have to visit one of Lumiose City's grassy courtyards like Vert Sector 4 or Magenta Sector 7.
Vert Sector 4 is your best bet in the early stages of the game. It's just across the street from the Vernal Pokemon Center, which is up the road from the Hair Salon and Stone Emporium. To reach it, use the Holovator to get onto the rooftops, then drop down into the grassy courtyard below. You'll see a bunch of Bunnelbys, but there'll be a Ralts hiding down there as well.
Ralts is also available as a free Mystery Gift in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. To claim it, just open the menu, select Link Play, then choose Mystery Gift. Select "Get via Internet" and you'll receive a Ralts holding Gardevoirite, which can be used to evolve it into Mega Gardevoir down the line. This Mystery Gift only lasts through February 28, 2026, so act fast if you want it.
How to Evolve Ralts in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Ralts has three evolutions, with a split choice for its third and final evolution depending on its gender. Ralts will evolve into Kirlia after reaching level 20. Just open the menu and you'll see the option to evolve Ralts when the time comes.
Kirlia can evolve into either Gardevoir or Gallade. Kirlia evolves into Gardevoir at level 30 regardless of gender. If you have a male Kirlia, you can use a Dawn Stone on it at any level to evolve it into Gallade. This won't work on a female Kirlia!
Both Gardevoir and Gallade are strong Pokemon for your team in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, so you can't go wrong either way. Both of them have Mega Evolutions as long as you can find the right Mega Stones as well.
