Bagon is one of the top priorities of every Dragon-type Trainer in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and with the return of Mega Evolutions, the fearsome Salamence comes back to its best shape. This little Pokemon is just the start of the line for those who want to train one of the strongest Pseudo-Legendaries in the Pokedex, so if readers are among those looking for Bagon, they have come to the right place.
Here in this guide, trainers will learn where to find Bagon, how to evolve it, and most importantly, where to find the Mega Stone needed to evolve Salamence into Mega Salamence.
How to Get Bagon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Bagon can be found roaming around the center of Wild Zone 18, at all times of day. It is also worth noting that an Alpha Salamence pops up in this area and is often seen next to Bagon in this zone.
Bagon is a Dragon-type Pokemon that later evolves into Shelgon, and its final form, Salamence, can also undergo Mega Evolution, so it's a valuable addition to any team.
How to Evolve Bagon in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Bagon can evolve into Shelgon when it reaches level 30, and it will later evolve into Salamence at level 50. Salamence can then undergo Mega Evolution if players have the Salamencite.
The Mega Stone required to Mega Evolve Salamence becomes available by completing Main Mission 35: Reaching Rank A, and can then be purchased in Quasartico Inc., for 360 Mega Shards.

Mega Salamence |
Players can acquire more Mega Shards to purchase Mega Stones by destroying Mega Crystals, which are located all around Lumiose City.
Salamence is a Pseudo-Legendary, due to its BST value being 600, which puts it only a step away from powerful Legendary Pokemon. Unlike other Dragon-type Pokemon, Salamence has access to a varied number of moves (especially those learned with TMs) that grant it high coverage capabilities.
When Salamence Mega evolves, its stats change drastically (increasing to 700). Its Attack value receives a +50 bump, and its speed increases by 20, while all its other stats (Except HP) increase by 10. As a solid Physical attacker, this grants Mega Salamence just the right stat distribution needed to become a fearsome opponent for any Pokemon.
But perhaps what makes this Pokemon such a vicious choice in both PvE and PvP is that it can learn Earthquake. This Ground-type Physical move is a threat to tons of the meta picks in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and its AoE effect grants Salamence/Mega Salamence a way to counter other Physical attackers, especially Mega Tyranitar and Mega Lucario.
