Shiny Hunting in Pokemon Legends: Z-A has changed a lot, and now, there are new rules and gimmicks players need to pay attention to before they set out on their journey to get the Shiny Charm and lots of cool Pokemon.

If you want to learn all about the best Shiny Hunting Spots in Lumiose City, then take a look at this guide, which offers information on the top hotspots to get rare Shinies using all the new tricks.

Larvitar & Ralts (Wild Zone 15 Save Trick)

Travel to Cafe Kizuna, located on Hibernal Avenue, and look for the Holovator nearby Wild Zone 15. Grab a chronometer (phone or smartwatch), then climb on top of the rooftop, and then break the Spinarak Web on the left side to cross to a small Holo Fence where three Larvitar Spawn. Agro every Larvitar in the zone, then wipe them out with a move like Earthquake or Dragon Rush.

This has to be done at the same time, and when the Larvitar despawns, start the chronometer. At 1 minute 49 seconds, save the game. Then, the Larvitars will spawn. If one of them is Shiny, catch it; if not, reset the save. Repeat until you get Shiny Larvitar.

Use the same method in the small garden in Jaune Sector 5 (south of the Larvitar spot) with the two Ralts spawning there to get a Shiny Ralts. The respawn count for these Ralts sits between 2 min 15 seconds and 2 min 30, find the sweetspot and use this trick until getting the Shiny.

Goomy, Skrelp, Magikarp, Inkay & Noibat (Sewer Door Trick)

Travel to Magenta Sector 8, and go to Saison Canal in Magenta Street (near the Pokemon Center). Descend the stairs and find the Sewer Access Door. Now, stand looking at the river, there should be two Magikarp spawn spots, and if it's raining, two Goomy/Sliggoo spawns.

Face the river, then hit the stick and A to enter the Sewers, repeat to exit. Doing so will reset every Pokemon outside (50 m Radius) and inside the sewer. Players can use this trick to Shiny Hunt Magikarp, Goomy, and every Pokemon in the Sewer: Skrelp, Noibat, Ariados, and Inkay.

Dratini Hotspots & Fast Shiny

Travel to Restaurant Le Nah, then turn left from the landing spot, climb the stairs, and locate the Dratini spawning on the rooftop of the restaurant. Now, go down and start using the Restaurant's door to reset the area. Do this around 50 times, and there's a high chance for Dratini to spawn as Shiny. There is around a 0.5% chance of getting a Shiny Alpha Dratini as well.

Travel to Wild Zone 10, then turn around and locate the small triangle plaza near the zone. Go there and climb the scaffolding. Once up there, aim for the northeast and cross the rooftop, dodging the Scrafty spawn. Cross the bridge and spot the Dratini on the other side of the roof. Now go back to the bridge, cross to the other side, and then back to the zone with the Dratini. Notice the Zone Change from Area 8 to Area 9. Do this repeatedly to make Dratini Spawn as Shiny.

Beldum, Houndour & Honedge (Teleport Trick)

Travel to Lysandre Cafe, enter, and then go down to Lysandre Labs. Step on the Teleporter plate in the front to reset the Area and make the Hondour, Honedge, and Beldum spawn zones reset. Repeat from 20 to 70 times for a guaranteed Shiny.

If players move ahead to the next room in the zone where the teleport drops them, they will find the Honedge and Doublade spawn zone. The Hondour/Houndoom room is to the left of the entrance. The Beldum/Metang spawn spot is in the far east-side room in the Purple Zone.

Central Plaza (True AFK Tower Trick)

Grab a rubber band and a controller, then travel to Wild Zone 3. Reach the tower on the left side of the zone, and dodge the Alpha Litleo that spawns there. Climb the tower, defeat the Alpha Fledgling, and prepare to do some shady AFK Shiny Hunting.

Face the veranda of the tower, with the staircase at the back of the trainer, now, lock the movement stick down (↓) using the rubber band. Make sure the character constantly goes inside and outside the tower. Go brew some coffee, take a break, and come back later. Now remove the rubber band and trace a 50 M Radius circle from the tower.

This affects the Litleo, Skiddo, Flabébé, Pancham, and Espurr spawns in WZ 3, and also the Fletching, Vivillion, Scatterbug, Pidgey, Cleffa, Swirlix, Spritzee, and Budew spawns in the shopping district and the rooftops. Enjoy free Shinies, and remember to use Stealth to catch Budew, Pidgey, and Fletching since they flee.
