Mega Evolution plays a central role in the story of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise to learn that there are a ton of Mega Evolutions found throughout the game. Players will unlock Mega Evolution during Main Mission 9, although the number of Pokemon that they'll be able to Mega Evolve is limited, to begin with. To get all of the Mega Stones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players will need to complete the story, although a good chunk of them can be picked up along the way.

Updated December 14, 2025, by Tom Bowen: The Mega Dimension DLC added 25 Mega Evolutions to Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the majority of which are new to the franchise. This guide has been updated to include information on where to find all of the DLC mega stones to help players complete their Mega Evolution Pokedex. As with some of the mega stones in the base version of the game, a handful of the DLC mega evolutions are tied to ranked battles and EX Missions, and so won't be available right away.
