A Pokemon fan has created an impressive infographic that shows the most popular Pokemon in each country, with some regions varying more than others. Since Pokemon Red and Blue were released way back in 1996, Pokemon fans have been combing through the constantly extending Pokedex list to select their favorites which many players often suspect are starter Pokemon.A Twitter user recently shared an image of tons of different Pokemon that are entirely focused on Gen 1 represented by all the countries around the world. Because Pikachu has been seen as the face of the Pokemon franchise since its creation, it is largely pictured in the infographic compared to the originally planned mascot Clefairy who makes not one appearance throughout. One curious omission from the infographic is Gen 6 Pokemon Greninja which was voted to be the most popular Pokemon of all time but isn't seen anywhere on this map, which may suggest that it wasn't the first pick of many fans. Twitter user Patterrz shared their Pokemon infographic that clearly favors Pikachu, with the yellow mouse being represented by countries such as Guatemala, Egypt, Serbia, and Morocco. Pokemon Red and Blue legendary Pokemon Mewtwo and Mythical Mew are seen in several countries as well, with the former appearing in France, Luxembourg, Hungary, and Jordan, and the latter having more fans in Ethiopia, Russia, Taiwan, and Ukraine. Perhaps due to its evolutionary potential, many countries such as Denmark, Finland, Japan, and Israel prefer the Normal-type Eevee, with Belize committing to the Electric-type evolution Jolteon, and Saudi Arabia and Lebanon choosing Vaporeon instead.
