A prime example of a classic Pokemon players like to make art of is Gyarados, a dragon-like Water and Flying type that is listed as the 130th Pokemon overall. Evolving from the lowly Magikarp at level 20, Gyarados’s immense power stands in striking contrast to its weaker base form, and its seemingly unlikely transformation is said to be inspired by ancient Chinese mythology. Their work seems to be paying off already, as their Gyarados post has achieved over 900 upvotes as of this writing.
