Pokemon GO developers at Niantic have decided to bring back the Winter Holiday event for 2023 this December. The Winter Holiday 2023 event is divided into two parts, and only Part 1 is live currently. Players can catch the Terra Whale Pokemon, Cetoddle, and Cetitanis, along with new costumed monsters like Pikachu wearing holiday attire and Raichu wearing holiday attire for the first time during the event.
The Winter Holiday 2023 (Part 1) starts on Monday, December 18, at 10 AM and runs for a week before ending on Monday, December 25, at 10 AM Local Time. Pokemon GO trainers can participate in multiple Research quests during the event, including Field Research and numerous event-exclusive Timed Research quests. The Pokemon GO Winter Holiday 2023 event comprises 5 Research quests: Field Research, Winter Wishes Timed Research, Winter Holiday Timed Research, Winter Holiday Part 2 Timed Research, and the Frosty Festivities Timed Research. Players can also choose their bonus for completing the Winter Wishes Timed Research; they can receive 2x Catch XP or 2x Catch Stardust. The bonus of boosted XP and Stardust by opening Gifts is available for all trainers.
The Winter Holiday 2023 Field Research offers 7 tasks with multiple possible rewards dedicated to completing each.
