Pokemon GO is officially rolling out all the details about the beloved mobile game's next big live event, with Wild Area: Nagasaki set to launch in just over a week. The massively popular monster-catching spinoff has brought a wide variety of different events to the game, introducing multiple new Pokemon and forms to the game. Pokemon GO's recently concluded Halloween event added both Poltchageist and Sinistcha to the game, with plenty more rumored to be on the way throughout the Fall. Now, another major live event is set to arrive soon for the game.

With the massive success of Pokemon GO around the world, Niantic has hosted plenty of in-person events for the game. Pokemon GO's annual "GO Tour" events typically feature a selection of live events in major cities in the United States, Europe, and Japan, with special Pokemon spawns, Raids, and lots more for players to engage with others. "Wild Area" events also focus on special wild Pokemon appearing, with one city chosen each year to host the event. Pokemon GO is now sharing all the details about 2025's Wild Area.

Pokemon GO is officially rolling out a special collaboration with the Pokemon Trading Card Game, featuring special missions and Raids.

Pokemon GO officially detailed its Wild Area 2025 event through the game's social media channels, set to take place in Nagasaki, Japan. The event will heavily center around Dark and Fairy-type Pokemon as its main focus, with players able to choose between the two types for a series of Special Research missions. Pokemon GO will also be debuting another shiny Pokemon during the event, with Unown-K appearing in its shiny variant, alongside exclusive perks like an in-game stamp rally, special cosmetics, and Supply Balloons with GO Safari Balls. Pokemon GO's Wild Area 2025 will run from November 7 through November 9.

Pokemon GO Reveals More Wild Area 2025 Details

  • Pokemon GO Stamp Rally: Players can earn in-game stamps by visiting different locations around Nagasaki.
  • New Shiny Pokemon: Unown K
  • Players can still purchase ticket add-ons through the end of the event on November 9.
  • Type-Themed Event Medals: Players can choose from either Dark or Fairy-type Pokemon for Special Research missinos during the event. The following rewards will be granted after claiming the type-themed medals.
    • Dark-Type Rewards: 1 additional Candy XL awarded for catching Dark-type mighty Pokemon (Level 31+), 1,000 Additional Stardust for catching Dark-type mighty Pokemon.
    • Fairy-Type Rewards: 1 additional Candy XL awarded for catching Fairy-type mighty Pokemon (Level 31+), 1,000 Additional Stardust for catching Fairy-type mighty Pokemon.
  • GO Wild Area Supply Balloon: Supply balloons will appear during the event giving GO Safari Balls
  • Players purchasing the Global ticket will receive the Flower Crown avatar item.
  • New cosmetic items: Bewear Onesie, Morgrem Hairstyle, Avatar pose

Pokemon GO fans looking to participate in Wild Ares 2025 should have lots of exciting perks to look forward to from the event. Wild Area: Nagasaki will introduce a brand-new Gigantamax Pokemon to Pokemon GO, with popular eighth-generation Pokemon Grimmsnarl receiving its Gigantamax version. Multiple new Shiny variants will also be making their first appearance alongside the previously-mentioned Unown-K, including Unown-W, Hatenna, and Impidimp. Shadow Darkrai and Shadow Cresselia will also feature in special Shadow Raids during the event.

Pokemon GO has already begun to tease fans with some of the exciting updates coming throughout the rest of the year. Pokemon GO revealed a special collaboration with the Pokemon Trading Card Game earlier this week, featuring Special Research and Mega Lucario Raids to coincide with a new TCG release. November's Enchanted Hollow event will also introduce some new Pokemon to the game, adding both Tarountula and Spidops to Pokemon GO. Niantic looks to have plenty on the table to keep fans invested in Pokemon GO as 2025 nears its close.
