The event is followed by the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event, which debuts some of the most loved Paldean creatures.

The Ultra Unlock: Paldea event’s Timed Research quest offers an encounter with the new debut Pawmi. The event also offers Shiny Lechonk and other Paldean encounters as wild spawns.

The Ultra Unlock: Paldea event offers a paid Timed research quest, I've Got Your Back. Unlike regular Research quests, this one is only available for a limited time. This Pokemon GO Timed Research expires, so one must complete the tasks and claim rewards by September 15, 2023, 8 PM local time.

The Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock event’s Timed Research comprises 1 step with multiple tasks. The I've Got Your Back Timed Research tasks players with gifting others, walking a certain distance, catching different species of Pokemon, and more. Participants also get a particular reward upon completing each task and multiple rewards upon completing the entire Timed Research.

Players can access the event-exclusive Timed Research with a ticket, which costs $5.00 or the equivalent in local currency. Trainers can purchase and gift tickets to friends at the Great Friends level or higher. These purchases are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and exceptions in the Terms of Service), and one cannot use PokeCoins to buy the tickets. The Timed Research ticket will be in the Pokemon GO store until September 14, 2023, at 8 PM local time.
