Various Mega Pokemon have already made their debut in Pokemon GO, such as Mega Rayquaza, Mega Gengar, and Mega Alakazam. Pokemon GO has confirmed the debut of Mega Lucario in the new Ultra Unlock Raid Day event. The event will take place on July 21 from 11 am to 5 pm local time, marking the long-awaited addition of Mega Lucario to Pokemon GO. During the event, Mega Lucario will appear more often in raids, with trainers having the chance to capture a shiny one. Lucario found in raids will know the Fast Attack Force Palm, an ability with 13 power in trainer battles, and 9 power in Gyms and raids.

The Ultra Unlock: Mega Lucario Raid Day event will increase the chances of Pokemon GO trainers getting Rare Candy XL in raid battles, and the XP earned by 1.5x. Pokemon GO players who spin PokeStops will receive up to five free additional Raid Passes. To celebrate the debut of Mega Lucario, Pokemon GO will increase the Remote Raid limit to 20 from July 26 at 5 pm to July 27 at 8 pm PDT. During the event, a new Lucario-themed cosmetic will be available on the Pokemon Web Store. A new ticket will be available for $5.00 USD, giving Pokemon GO players bonuses such as additional Raid Passes, a chance of getting Rare Candy XL, and earning more XP and Stardust in raids.
Mega Lucario's debut is one of the exciting events Pokemon GO players will be able to join this July. Tandemaus and Maushold make their Pokemon GO debut this week in the new event, Ultra Unlock: Better Together. Next week will be the turn of shiny Togedemaru to make its Pokemon GO debut in the Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event.
