This Pokemon GO event debuts Shiny Mareanie, Shiny Toxapex, and Ultra Beasts like Stakataka and Blacephalon. While you can encounter a Shiny Mareanie by completing the event-exclusive Field Research and Timed Research quests or hunting in the wild, Stakataka and Blacephalon appear as 5-Star Raid bosses, and defeating them rewards an encounter. Stakataka spawns as a raid boss in the Eastern Hemisphere, and Blacephalon spawns as a raid boss in the Western Hemisphere.
