Wake up, Snorlax fans! Pokemon GO has just announced a new event involving everyone's favorite sleepy Pokemon. What's more, if caught, it will come with an exclusive move.

There is an abundance of Snorlax roaming the wild right now in Pokemon GO as part of a new, limited-time event The easy part for trainers is sneaking up on these lazy beasts, but catching one is a whole other matter, as they are notoriously grumpy when their naps are interrupted.

There is some incentive, however. Any Snorlax caught in Pokemon GO between now and Monday, June 3, at 1 PM PDT, will know the exclusive event move Yawn. There are just a few days to take advantage of this brief event, so trainers will have to act quickly to catch one. Luckily for them, these portly Pokemon aren't very mobile.

The Snorlax event comes at a time when sleeping Pokemon has become a topic of discussion. This is due to a curious new title called Pokemon Sleep that was announced at yesterday's Pokemon press conference. The goal of this new project is to "transform sleeping into entertainment", though by what means was left unclear. All we know is that the game will be available for both iOS and Android devices in 2020, and that it will be compatible with the upcoming Pokemon GO+ Plus device.

Along with Pokemon Sleep was the announcement of a new cloud-based Pokemon storage service called Pokemon Home, which is designed to make training a whole lot easier. With it, players can transfer and store Pokemon from a plethora of titles. With this service, Pokemon can continue to journey with their trainers into each new generation.

Pokemon GO is currently available in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
