Pokemon GO has announced the September 2025 GO Pass featuring a variety of challenges and rewards, including a new version of the Incubator. The upcoming pass will launch in Pokemon GO on September 2.
The first iteration of Pokemon GO's GO Pass was launched in April 2025. Like the name implies, the feature is essentially a battle pass-like system that offers rewards for completing various tasks, thus incentivizing player activity. After the experiment came to an end, Niantic kept launching new GO Passes on a monthly basis.

Pokemon GO's September 2025 GO Pass Introduces Unlimited-Use Incubator
With Pokemon GO's August 2025 GO Pass nearing its end, Niantic has taken the wraps off its successor, scheduled to arrive on September 2. Among its highlights is the Timed Incubator, a special variant of the Incubator that has unlimited uses. This concept still doesn't make regular incubators obsolete, as the new item comes with a time limit: it is only usable until October 14, regardless of when it is earned. To unlock it, players will need to buy the $7.99 GO Pass Deluxe and reach Rank 20.
If a Pokemon GO egg hasn't hatched by the time the Timed Incubator expires, it will transfer to a standard single-use incubator to finish the process. Despite its fixed lifespan, the Timed Incubator's unlimited uses will potentially be a significant advantage for players focused on walking and hatching eggs, making it a major incentive to grind the battle pass. Next month will see Niantic once again offer a way to fast-track progress via GO Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks, a self-explanatory name for a special variant of the pass that offers an automatic 10-rank advance.
As with many of Niantic's past experiments, there is no guarantee that the Timed Incubator will become a recurring feature. Its continuation will likely depend on how strong an incentive it proves to be for players to engage with the battle pass. Beyond a new version of the Incubator, the next GO Pass also includes a guaranteed encounter with Cobalion, which will have a limited-time themed background celebrating Pokemon GO's Tales of Transformation season.
The September 2025 GO Pass will also offer tiered rewards at ranks 25, 50, and 75, with increased Gift-sending limits and boosted Stardust and XP from hatching eggs. Double Daily Adventure Incense duration is also part of the rewards, unlockable at rank 50. Niantic continues incentivizing direct GO Pass purchases through its Web Store—where it doesn't need to pay a 30% cut to Google or Apple—by offering double Reward Points for them.
