Pokemon GO fans have been closely monitoring the official social accounts today for more details about the upcoming eggstravaganza, but apparently Niantic has other plans. Instead of dropping any event additional event news, the Pokemon GO accounts opted to confirm this month’s Community Day exclusive move.
April’s Community Day is Bagon-themed, which means players should be able to store up enough candy to evolve into the powerful Salamence, which is a fairly popular metagame choice for certain PvP and PvE situations. As always, players who evolve the Pokemon during the Community Day window can secure an exclusive move. This time around it is the Dragon-type ability Outrage.
Fans of the Pokemon GO metagame know that Salamence has always lacked just a bit behind Dragonite and Rayquaza, but this new move should do a lot of work to close that gap and bring Salamence into the top tier.
Outrage was the popular guess heading into this month, so this isn’t much of a surprise, but it is still very exciting. The data-crunchers have already analyzed the numbers and the addition of Outrage Salamence to the meta is definitely going to shift up some battle rosters.
The April 2019 Community Day event takes place on April 13, so be sure to set that time aside if you want to get the move and maybe catch some shiny Bagons. Check back later this week for more news and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
