Pokemon GO has announced the debut of Mega Camerupt at an event on September 28. This will be yet another Mega Evolution coming to Pokemon GO after the feature was introduced in 2020, bringing this popular variant of the pocket monsters.
Camerupt is one of the Gen 3 Pokemon, and the evolution that Numel unlocks when it reaches level 33. The design of this Fire/Ground-type critter is reminiscent of a Bactrian camel; its humps resemble volcanoes, and it stores 10,000 degrees Celsius lava in its body that erupts when Camerupt is angry. When it Mega Evolves, Camerupt's fur grows longer, its humps merge into a single structure like an active volcano, and a gray M appears on its forehead. Camerupt is one of several Hoenn pocket monsters that have a Mega form, and it's coming to Pokemon GO.

Mega Camerupt is Featured in Pokemon GO's Upcoming Raid Day
Pokemon GO has announced a Raid Day for September 28, marking Mega Camerupt's debut in the game. The event will begin at 2 pm and end at 5 pm local time, and during this period, players will battle Mega Camerupt in raids, with an increased chance of a shiny appearing. As with other events of this type, the limit on Remote Raid Passes will be increased to 20 from September 27 at 5 pm until September 28 at 8 pm PT. At the same time, players will receive up to five extra Raid Passes when spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.

Celebrating the upcoming Pokemon GO leveling update, until October 14 at 11:59 pm, players will receive 3,000 XP when winning raids and Max Battles, and double XP for Nice and better catches and throws.
The first month of the new Pokemon GO season is quite busy, and the debut of Mega Camerupt isn't the only activity confirmed for players. Until September 14, players can join the event in celebration of Pokemon Concierge, the adorable Netflix animated series. Dudunsparce will debut in Pokemon GO in an event focused on Normal-type monsters that will start on September 23.
