Summary
- Pokemon GO is hosting a new Party Up event from November 22 to November 27, which will allow players to more easily catch some Generation 9 creatures and earn a Master Ball.
- The Special Research story awarding a Master Ball will only be purchasable by players who missed out on the Timed Investigation Master Ball Research set to expire on November 21.
- Party Up is meant to commemorate the end of Pokemon GO Season 12. Niantic has already confirmed the dates of 10 additional events planned to run from December to February, including 4 Community Days.
A newly announced Pokemon GO event that's scheduled to kick off on November 22 will provide players with a chance to get another elusive Master Ball and catch some Generation 9 creatures from Paldea. The promotion is meant to commemorate the end of Pokemon GO Season 12, Adventures Abound, which concludes on December 1, at 10am local time.
The Master Ball originally debuted in Niantic's hit mobile game in late May. There have so far been two opportunities for players to grab one of these iconic purple Poke Balls; the latest one arrived in the form of the Pokemon GO Timed Investigation Master Ball Research that can still be completed by November 21, at 8pm local time.
A new event called Party Up is then scheduled to begin on the following day, at 10am local time. Much like its name suggests, the promo is largely meant to highlight the Party Play feature that reached Pokemon GO in mid-October. But the event will also include a Special Research story awarding a Master Ball, which will be available to purchase for anyone who missed out on the Season 12 Timed Investigation. The Party Up promo will run until November 27, at 8pm local time.
The event will be a perfect opportunity for players to catch Gen 9 Pokemon, as many of them will be treated to higher spawn rates, with that list including the likes of Sprigatito, Nymble, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Lechonk and Nymble will also be encountered more often in the wild during the five-day period, as will Smoliv, Tadbulb, and Pikachu clone Pawmi. Furthermore, Party Up will include 11 time-limited raids, although Bombirdier will be the only creature native to Paldea that will star in one of them.
Pokemon GO players can also expect another series of PokeStop Showcases where they will be able to enter a select few Gen 9 creatures: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Raid battles will offer double XP, trading Pokemon will award two additional Candies, and the daily Special Trade limit will be raised to five for the duration of the event. Trainers who are at least level 31 will also be guaranteed to receive Candy XL as trade rewards during the promotional period.
While the game's 12th season is now nearing its end, more content is just around the content. That's according to the recently shared Pokemon GO Season 13 roadmap, which confirmed that Niantic is planning to hold another ten events between early December and the first half of February, including four Community Days.
