August has been a month filled with exciting activities for Pokemon GO players. Niantic's game opened the month with the Adventure Week 2024 event taking place from August 2-12, bringing Mega Rayquaza back in a new Raid Day on August 3. The Adventure Week: Taken Over event took place from August 8-18 and marked the debut of Shadow Cresselia in Pokemon GO. Next came Lugia's Shadow Raid Weekend (August 10-11), the Pokemon World Championships event (August 16-20), and the Classic Community Day featuring Beldum on August 18. Continuing to keep its community engaged throughout the month, Pokemon GO is bringing yet another event for players.
Pokemon GO has announced the new Triumph Together event that will start on August 23 at 3 pm and end on August 30 at 11:59 PDT. Players from all over the world will have to team up to complete three challenges, unlocking bonuses, rewards, and Pokemon GO team-themed Timed Research. By completing the Timed Research tasks, Pokemon GO players will earn encounters with Ponyta, Elekid, and Lapras using Candela, Spark, and Blanche-themed accessories, who are the leaders of the Valor, Instinct, and Mystic teams.
Pokemon GO Triumph Together Event
- Date: Friday, August 23, at 3 pm to Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:59 pm PDT
Team Valor's challenge will be to defeat 75,000,000 Team GO Rocket members, Team Instinct's challenge will be to hatch 20,000,000 eggs, and Team Mystic's challenge will be to complete 35,000,000 Pokemon GO Field Research tasks. By completing the challenges, Pokemon GO players will receive bonuses of more encounters with Team GO Rocket (Team Valor), reduced hatching distance (Team Instinct), and event-themed Field Research tasks with encounters with Beldum, Emolga, and more (Team Mystic). Pokemon GO will also offer Paid Timed Research for $5 USD with rewards for trainers, such as two Premium Battle Passes and a valuable Rocket Radar.
In addition to the Triumph Together event, August will also see Community Day featuring Popplio on the 31, giving Pokemon GO trainers a chance to catch one of the Gen 7 starters. Meanwhile, Niantic continues to prepare even more exciting activities for players. Pokemon GO will be adding Gen 8 Pokemon, promising to change how some battles happen. Another teaser has been released, making players even more excited about the imminent addition of the ability to use Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokemon GO.
