Pokemon GO: All May 2020 Field Research Tasks and Rewards

It seems safe to say that Pokemon GO wasn't specifically designed to play during a pandemic, but it has clearly adapted to the times. Now that it can be played while encouraging social distancing and while helping flatten the curve, many may wonder if Pokemon GO will revert once coronavirus is over.

The question lingers, but players now know what to expect for May 2020's field research tasks and rewards. May 2020's field research beakthrough was already confirmed to be Shinx (with bonus candy), and while it may not be the most popular option, those who have missed out on the adorable critter in Pokemon GO may appreciate the chance to get it again.

Of course, this means collecting 7 stamps by completing Pokemon GO Field Research. Via the dedicated researchers at the Silph Road, May's includes a mix of new Kanto Throwback field research, field research with Pokemon encounters, and field research with item rewards. For the sake of brevity and the biggest rewards, the below list is comprised of only Pokemon Encounter rewards.

It's worth mentioning that this is in addition to the on-going Special Research in Pokemon GO, which is set to rotate through regions. There is one exception though: for reasons unknown, Pokemon GO has suspended the Team Go Rocket Special Research until the end of September.
