The Lustrous Odyssey event starts on Saturday, January 6, at 10 AM and runs till Wednesday, January 10, at 8 PM Local Time. The Lustrous Odyssey Field Research quest comprises 4 tasks and specific rewards for completing each. While the tasks comprise winning raids and hatching Pokemon GO Eggs, the rewards include encounters with featured monsters like Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Sneasel, Rockruff, and more. There is also a chance to get Shiny variants of these monsters by completing the Field Research quest.

Including the Field Research quest, the event offers the Seasonal Timeless Travels Special Research story (Part Two). Those who complete the Special Research story get rewards such as Pokemon GO XP, Stardust, and a Rockruff encounter. There are also several raid opportunities, including 1-star, 3-star, 5-star, and Mega Raids featuring Mega Ampharos and Mega Medicham. For the 5-star raid, players can battle different raid bosses in other regions.
