The 2025 Lunar New Year event in Pokemon GO will be available live in-game for players to participate in between the dates of January 29, 2025, and February 2, 2025. During this time, players will be able to make the most of two event bonuses: an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends, and an increased chance of receiving Lucky Pokemon in trades.

In addition to this, there are a number of different Pokemon that can be obtained through various methods during the 2025 Lunar New Year Event. As it is the Year of the Snake, many snake or serpent-like Pokemon, such as Ekans, Onix, and Snivy, have been included in this lineup.
