Summary
- Niantic updated the Pokemon GO special research quest "It's Not Over Yet" to include easier tasks.
- The updated tasks now require players to catch specific types of Pokemon and use Nanab Berries.
Niantic has made a change to the Pokemon GO Special Research quest "It's Not Over Yet." Pokemon GO introduced the It's Not Over Yet Special Research just recently, with the tasks centering around Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. Unfortunately, many Pokemon GO players found themselves stuck on page 4 of the quest, especially since Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom were only available in raids for a limited time.
The original page 4 of the Pokemon GO It's Not Over Yet tasked players with catching Zekrom, catching Kyurem, and then fusing Kyurem. Acquiring the resources necessary to do this is a monumental task to say the least, especially since Pokemon GO players had such a limited time to do so. Many fans suspected that Niantic might update the quest with a different set of tasks to complete, and that's exactly what's happened.
Pokemon GO: How To Get Shiny Clauncher & Shiny Clawitzer
This guide details the best ways to get Shiny Clauncher and Shiny Clawitzer in Pokemon GO.
With no prior announcement, Niantic has updated the Pokemon GO It's Not Over Yet Special Research quest. The new tasks challenge Pokemon GO players to catch 50 Fire-type Pokemon, catch 50 Electric-type Pokemon, and use 50 Nanab Berries while catching Pokemon. This is a significantly more realistic set of tasks for players to complete, and should ensure that many more fans of the game are able to complete It's Not Over Yet.
Pokemon GO It's Not Over Yet Changes
Once Pokemon GO players manage to complete page 4 of It's Not Over Yet, they will have to win five raids. All the tasks on page 5 are for winning five raids, so players can make progress on each task simultaneously. The type of raids doesn't matter, but it may still be tricky for Pokemon GO players in rural areas to complete page 5. It's still far easier than the tasks on page 4, though, and so the Special Research task changes should be well-received by all Pokemon GO players that didn't already complete the page.
As it so happens, completing raids will also help Pokemon GO players complete the ongoing Might and Mastery Special Research quest. The latest Special Research quest added to the game, page 2 of Might and Mastery has a task for winning three raids. Players should be able to complete that task, as well as the one for earning 25,000 XP, while working on page 5 of It's Not Over Yet. Unfortunately, it's currently impossible to fully complete Might and Mastery, but Pokemon GO players should rest assured that new tasks will be added in the weeks ahead.
