How to Get Shiny Mantyke in Pokemon GO

Though it is often more common to spot a Pokemon's first evolution in the wild, you can actually catch both Mantyke and Mantine in the wild without needing to evolve Mantyke. If you're specifically looking for Shiny Mantyke, you can have an increased chance of coming across the Pokemon from different events, such as Spotlight Hours, Community Days, Special Research, and more.

However, it is more often you'll see Mantine in these events rather than Mantyke. But, there is still a chance to spot Shiny Mantyke if you use these tips:

  • Visit a nearby PokeStop and set up a Lure Module to attract more Pokemon to the area.
  • Use either a Daily Adventure Incense or regular Incense to attract Pokemon to your character.
  • Utilize Mantyke's Weather Boosts, which includes Rainy and Windy weather.

Since Mantyke is less common than Mantine, you'll want to really focus on Mantyke's Weather Boost to increase your chances of spotting the Water and Flying-Type Pokemon. Whenever it is rainy or windy, Shiny Mantyke will appear more frequently. When you're catching the Pokemon as well, to avoid it getting away, use a Razz Berry, Silver Pinap Berry, or Golden Razz Berry to increase your chances of catching it.

How to Get Shiny Mantine in Pokemon GO

Right now, you'll have an increased chance of spotting Mantine during the Sizeable Surprises event, up until the end of the day on April 9, 2024. Catching a Mantine will help you to complete the Giant Gems Collection Challenge as well.

Just like Mantyke, you can use the same tips and tricks to increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Mantine. Mantine will have the same Weather Boosts as well, including rainy and windy weather. If you currently only have access to Shiny Mantyke, you can also evolve the Pokemon into Shiny Mantine using 50 Mantyke Candies. You can get candies through catching more Mantykes, transferring extras to the Professor, or setting Mantyke as your Buddy.
