Zamazenta is a legendary Pokemon found in Pokemon GO, with two different forms: Crowned Shield, and Hero of Many Battles. Crowned Shield Zamazenta is a Steel and Fighting-type Pokemon, while the Hero variant is solely a Fighting-type. This legendary is one of the most powerful you can get in the game, but can be quite difficult to obtain.
There is only one method you can use to get this special Pokemon originating from Pokemon Sword & Shield. If you want to catch either variant of Zamazenta in Pokemon GO, you'll need to be prepared to put up a good fight against it in battle.

How to Catch a Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta in Pokemon GO
The Hero of Many Battles form of Zamazenta is the most common in Pokemon GO and can only be found during special Zamazenta Raids, which usually occur once every year in August.
Currently, Hero Zamazenta is not available in any Raid Battles, but you should expect it to appear as a Tier-5 Legendary Raid Boss in the future.
When Hero Zamazenta does become available again, there are a few tips you can follow to beat it in battle and get the chance to catch it. Here's everything you'll want to do to prepare:
- Make sure to battle with more friends during your Raid Battle with Hero Zamazenta. You'll receive more Premiere Balls at the end of the battle this way.
- Save as many Golden Razz Berries as possible to use on Zamazenta to make it easier to catch. You can also use regular Razz Berries, but they won't be as effective.
- When battling Zamazenta, you'll want to take advantage of its weaknesses: Flying, Psychic, and Fairy. Some good Pokemon to bring include Mega Gengar, Mewtwo, Moltres, and Rayquaza.
- After beating Zamazenta in the Raid Battle, you'll be given the chance to catch it. You'll want to try your best to get an Excellent Curveball throw on it, which you can do by spinning the ball and throwing it at Zamazenta when the middle circle becomes as small as possible. If you don't get it the first time, remember to keep using Golden Razz Berries after each throw and then throw the next Premiere Ball.

Can You Catch a Crowned Shield Zamazenta in Pokemon GO?
Although there is another form of Zamazenta, the Crowned Shield form, it cannot currently be caught in Pokemon GO. It could appear in the future, but right now, Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta is your only choice. You can also get Zacian, the other legendary from Pokemon Sword & Shield, available in Raid Battles as well.
Along with Crowned Shield Zamazenta, there is currently no Shiny form of Zamazenta available in the game. Though most Pokemon can be found in a Shiny form occasionally after defeating them in a Raid Battle, you'll need to wait a bit longer before getting a Shiny Zamazenta, which could possibly appear in the future, but has yet to be announced.
