Pokemon GO: How to Beat Sierra (November 2021)

Sierra may have the same roster of characters for November 2021 as she had last month in Pokemon GO, but that doesn’t mean battling her is any easier. Players still need to bring effective type-advantages and the best counters to defeat the Team Rocket Leader.

To start the challenge against Sierra in Pokemon GO, trainers must first collect 6 Mysterious Components by defeating Rocket Grunts at select PokeStops. She can then appear in floating Rocket Balloons, or at PokeStops.

Defeating Sierra leads to an encounter with a shadow Pokemon that can be purified in Pokemon GO, 1000 Stardust, and a random selection of 2 of the following rewards:

• x1 Sinnoh Stone

Sierra's First Pokemon - Sneasel

Sneasel is always the first Pokemon Sierra will pick in Pokemon GO. It is both a Dark and Ice-type, and is weak to Fighting, Rock, Bug, Steel, Fire, and Fairy-type moves. It resists damage from Ghost, Ice, Dark, and Psychic-type moves.

Sierra's second and third Pokemon are randomly selected, and there is no way to tell which one she will pick before the battle begins. This is why it's important to try and pick characters that are effective against multiple options.

Drapion is both a Poison and Dark-type with a weakness to Ground-type moves only. It resists Psychic, Poison, Ghost, Grass, and Dark.
