During Pokemon GO's World of Wonders: Taken Over event, Shadow Mewtwo will be available to encounter through Five-Star Shadow Raids during the dates of March 30, 2024, to Sunday, March 31, 2024. This Shadow Raid event will run from 6 AM local time to 10 PM local time, giving Trainers a decent window per day to participate. This means that Shadow Mewtwo Raids will be available for just one single weekend, which also means that players will need to ensure they are well-prepared in advance if they hope to be successful.
During this period, Shadow Raikou will no longer be appearing in Shadow Raids, so you will be able to make the most of this opportunity to ensure you get a chance at capturing Shadow Mewtwo. However, on top of Shadow Mewtwo being available to encounter, there is a chance that a shiny variant of this Pokemon can spawn, giving Trainers around the world an opportunity to add one to their collection.
