Niantic has added an adorable Pokemon from the Paldea region, Tandemaus, and its evolution Maushold, to Pokemon GO, and fans are quite curious to know how they can get the Family of Three & Four variants. The Pokemon made its debut in the game as part of the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event, which also gives players a chance to catch a plethora of Hisuian forms as well.
Tandemaus made its debut in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and is a Normal-type Pokemon. How To Get Maushold Family Of Three & Four In Pokemon GO
Just like Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the evolution of Tandemaus into Maushold is something that players cannot determine beforehand. That is, there is no specific way in which players can know whether Tandemaus will evolve into Maushold Family of Three or Four.
When players click on the evolve button, Tandemaus will randomly evolve into either a Family of Three or Four Maushold. It is not clear what the odds are for each of them in Pokemon GO, but for reference, it is a 1 in 25 chance to get a Family of Three Maushold in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Likewise, the odds of getting a Family of Four Maushold is much higher, with players having a 24 in 25 chance of getting the Pokemon.
As a result, the Family of Three Maushold is considered to be an incredibly rare form of the Pokemon, with the shiny variant of the Pokemon being harder to catch. The shiny variant of the Pokemon is also not available in the game as of now, but it will likely be released as part of a future event. As far as getting a Family of Three Maushold in Pokemon GO is concerned, all players need to do is try to catch as many Tandemaus as possible and try to evolve them. It should be noted that Tandemau can only be caught in Party Play encounters.
It is crucial to note that many players think that the Pokemon's silhouette near the Evolve button can be used to predict which evolution the Pokemon will get. However, it has been confirmed that this is not the case. Even when the Tandemaus is supposed to evolve into a Family of Three, the silhouette always shows a Family of Four, so players will have to use their candies to evolve the Pokemon to know which evolution they got.
