Pokemon GO has kicked off a new giveaway that could award free Purified Gems to its players. The campaign has already begun and runs until March 29, coinciding with the World of Wonders: Taken Over event. During this Pokemon GO event, players can complete a new Special Research to encounter Pokemon like Shadow Groudon and Shadow Mewtwo.
On March 1, a new season began in Pokemon GO called The World of Wonders. This season adds new Pokemon to be captured, brand new Special Research, the return of the GO Battle League, and the introduction of new Shadow Pokemon during Shadow Raids. Shadow Raids are special battles that occur when Team GO Rocket takes over a gym. During the World of Wonders: Taken Over event, the game will add a new Special Research to face Shadow Groudon and also a special weekend to fight Shadow Mewtwo during Shadow Raids.
