Pokemon GO’s A Paldean Adventure event is debuting multiple Paldean monsters, including Lechonk and its evolution Oinkologne. The new event brings Lechonk as a wild spawn and egg hatch, providing numerous opportunities for encounters. Players can also access an Event-themed Field Research that rewards with a Lehconk encounter.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet monsters are making a debut in Pokemon GO, and among the first ones are Lechonk and Oinkologne. Players also have an opportunity to encounter a Shiny Lechonk and Shiny Oinkologne. Lechonk is a solo Normal-type monster, with its evolution Oinkologne having two variants: a male and a female. Both Oinkologne variants have a distinct appearance with different stats and CP. Players can encounter these monsters in multiple ways, and this guide details all of them.
How To Get Lechonk in Pokemon GO
Pokemon GO trainers can add Lehconk to their Pokedex during A Paldean Adventure event. Lehconk is available to encounter in multiple ways: Research tasks, wild spawn, and egg hatches. The event boosts its spawn rate, increasing the odds of encountering this monster.
Pokemon GO: Get Lechonk Through Wild Encounters
A Paldean Adventure event provides players with numerous wild debuts; Lechonk and Shiny Lechonk are among some of the most desired. Players can increase their chances of encountering a wild Lechonk by using in-game items such as Incense, Pokemon GO Lure Module, and the Weather Boost function. Increased numbers of wild Lechonk encounters will significantly boost the chances of finding a Shiny Lechonk.
Partly cloudy weather boosts Lechonk’s spawn rate, so Pokemon GO players should hunt around areas with these weather conditions. Attach a Lure Module to the Pokestop or Gym with Partly cloudy weather conditions, activate an Incense, and walk around the area to capitalize on the boosted spawn rate. Doing so will significantly increase Lechonk’s wild spawn rate, which helps catch up to its Shiny spawn rate.
Pokemon GO: Get Lechonk Through 7 KM Egg hatches
Apart from the wild spawns, the latest event, “A Paldean Adventure,” presents a chance to hatch multiple new monsters through 7 KM Pokemon GO eggs. Players might need multiple eggs and incubators since the event also offers Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly through 7 KM eggs. The chances of hatching a Lechonk are high; one might even get a Shiny Lechonk if they successfully hatch multiple Lechonk quickly.
Pokemon GO: Get Lechonk Through Research Tasks
In addition to the wild spawns and egg hatches, A Paldean Adventure event’s Research Tasks also present a Lechonk encounter. The Pokemon GO Research tasks are available from Tuesday, September 5, at 10:00 AM Local Time, and completing them rewards encounters with Paldean monsters. That means players can also encounter Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly by successfully completing the Research tasks.
How To Get Oinkologne in Pokemon GO
Like many monsters, Lechonk can evolve into a male or female Oinkologne. Both of the Oinkologne variants share different designs and color schemes. The evolution mechanics are the same for male and female variants; players need 50 Pokemon GO Candy to initiate the evolution. Evolving a Male Lechonk results in a Male Oinkologne, and evolving a Female Lechonk results in a Female Oinkologne.
Oinkologne (Male) and Oinkologne (Female) are both solo Normal-type monsters. Oinkologne (Male) possesses a slightly higher maximum CP of 2949 with an emphasis on stamina stats of 242 STA; its attack stats reach 186 ATK, but it has a lower defense stat of 153 DEF. Conversely, Oinkologne (Female) has a maximum CP of 2819, with a more balanced distribution of stats, including 169 ATK, 162 DEF, and a higher stamina stat of 251 STA.
Players can also get a Shiny Oinkologne by the same process; both Shiny Male Oinkologne and Shiny Female Oinkologne are available. Although one cannot catch these Pokemon GO evolutions in the wild, evolving a Shiny Lechonk will result in one of these Shiny monsters.
Pokemon GO is available now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
