Players cannot directly encounter a Cosmoem; one needs to get a Cosmog and evolve it into a Cosmoem. The evolution process requires 25 Cosmog Candy, but it is tough to get the necessary amount. Trainers must complete several tasks from A Cosmic Companion Special Research to farm Cosmog Candy in Pokemon GO and initiate the evolution.

Cosmoem is a solo Psychic-type monster with a maximum Pokemon GO CP of 924. The monster originates from the Alola region and possesses a defense-centric stat spread of 54 ATK, 242 DEF, and 125 STA. Once players get a Cosmoem, they can evolve it into a Solgaleo or Lunala under certain conditions.

Pokemon GO: Can Cosmog And Cosmoem Be Shiny?

While players can complete several tasks to get a Cosmog and later evolve it into a Cosmoem, the same cannot be said for their Shiny variants. Shiny Cosmog and Shiny Cosmoem have yet to be added to Pokemon GO. One thing to note is Niantic rarely debuts a monster's Standard and Shiny variant at the same event or year. Since the Standard variants were added a year ago, Shiny Cosmog and Shiny Cosmoem may be coming in future events.
