After months of rumors and speculation, Pokemon GO has finally released the first teaser trailer for the game's addition of Gen 4 creatures. The trailer looks great, but is thin on details, aside from some teasers about iconic Pokemon who will appear when the new generation is added to the game. In addition to some of the friendly companions, there is also a teaser for a Legendary who seems like a perfect choice for Gen 4's first tier 5 Raid Boss.
The trailer for Pokemon GO Gen 4 wraps up with a quick tease of Giratina's ominous eyes. The fierce Legendary is a Ghost/Dragon-type, which makes it a perfect fit for the upcoming Halloween event if Niantic is ready to start rolling out Gen 4 that soon. Since the trailer has arrived, it does seem like that's a realistic possibility.

Niantic does not offer any hints about a release date for the first wave of Gen 4 (or the other upcoming stat and weather changes), so the community is still in conspiracy theory mode at this point. Clearly the content is coming soon, since the game usually doesn't release trailers or press releases very far ahead of an actual release, but we don't know exactly when.
