Developer Niantic has ignited the hype surrounding Pokemon GO Fest 2025 and recently confirmed that Skiddo would be receiving a wider release to all players during the event instead of being locked behind City Safari. Pokemon GO Fest is an annual event that puts the spotlight on three cities each year, inviting players to gather in the chosen locations to compete against each other and reap special rewards.

Shared in a blog post, Niantic confirmed Skiddo would be a part of Pokemon Go Fest 2025. Players were encouraged to purchase global event tickets and play between April 8 and April 15 to gain Timed Research that gifts an encounter with Skiddo. Additionally, ticket holders will get early access to discover Zacian and Zamazenta’s Crowned Sword and Crowned Shield forms at in-person events for the first time in the mobile game. Skiddo was previously locked behind an exclusive event, joining the featured pocket monsters in Pokemon GO City Safari: Jakarta, Barcelona, Hong Kong, and more.

Pokemon GO Fest 2025 Debuts Skiddo for Global Release

Players were thrilled to learn Pokemon GO Fest 2025’s confirmed host cities back in January, which include Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris, and fans were also excited to hear the cute, “goated” Skiddo would be joining the festivities. Trainers were thankful that it was finally time to receive the goat Pokemon for global release, and some social media users were hopeful that the Pokemon’s wider debut would also deliver fruitful shiny encounters.

Skiddo is a mount, Grass-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 6, bearing resemblance to a goat from the real world and evolves into Gogoat. Niantic debuted Skiddo during October 2024’s City Safari: Barcelona, and Pokemon GO players also had the chance to catch Shiny Skiddo and Shiny Gogoat. Boasting the Sap Sipper and Grass Pelt abilities, Skiddo first appeared in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, followed by Sun and Moon, and then returned in all the newer Nintendo Switch games.
