Pokemon GO Reveals Ultra Unlock Details for GO Fest 2024

The Pokémon GO Fest 2024 global event will begin on July 13, and players who have purchased a global ticket can work together to complete a Global Challenge during each Habitat Hour.
If 20 challenges are successfully completed, the Pokemon GO Fest Ultra Unlock events will be activated on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m local time.
Ultra Unlock Part 1: Better Together will allow players to encounter new Pokemon, take part in new Timed Research, and make use of unique event bonuses.

Niantic has revealed the Ultra Unlock details for the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 global event, set to begin on July 13. Like prior iterations of the annual event, Pokemon GO Fest 2024 will be free to all players, and the community can earn tons of unique rewards for participating.

Pokemon GO Fest 2024 is the eighth annual Pokemon GO Fest event. This year's festivities began in Sendai, Japan on May 30, prompting Pokemon Trainers around the country to venture into the city's Nanakita Park to capture Pokemon and complete activities for free rewards. Pokemon GO Fest made its way to Madrid on June 14, followed by the New York City event one month later on July 5. After much anticipation, players around the world will finally be able to participate in the two-day global event on July 13 for free. Those who purchase a global ticket for $14.99 will have access to additional rewards and challenges.

When Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global begins on July 13, players who've purchased a global ticket may work together to complete a Global Challenge during each Habitat Hour. If the Global Challenge is completed on time, a special bonus will be given for the remainder of the Habitat. If 20 challenges are successfully completed, the Pokemon GO Fest Ultra Unlock events will be activated on Wednesday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m local time. Ultra Unlock Part 1: Better Together will allow players to encounter new Pokemon, take part in new Timed Research, and make use of several event bonuses, including double Catch Candy and 4x Catch XP. Part 1 of Ultra Unlock will be held until Monday, July 22, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. Local time.

Ultra Unlock begins on July 17, if 20 Global Challenges are completed during Habitat Hours on July 13.

The Ultra Unlock Part 2: Strength of Steel event will begin three days later, on Thursday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. Local time, if Pokemon GO players meet the aforementioned Global Challenge goal. During Ultra Unlock Part 2, players will encounter a new Shiny Pokemon for the first time in Pokemon GO. Part 2 will end on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. Local time.

Beginning on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Local time, Part 3: Mega Raid Day will be the third and final Ultra Unlock event for Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global. A new Pokemon will make its Pokemon GO debut in Mega Raids, and players may be lucky enough to encounter a Shiny variant. Mega Raid Day will end at 5:00 p.m. Local time, so players will only have six hours to participate and claim victory in the raid encounter. Players may also look forward to Shadow Entei Mega Raid events in Pokemon GO throughout the month of July.
