Pokemon GO has detailed the first Eggs-pedition Access details of the new year, which will arrive in January 2025. The upcoming Pokemon GO opportunity will give plenty of bonuses to players looking to start out the new year with a bang.
As December begins to come to a close, Pokemon GO is already planning a busy January to keep players involved and excited about the game. Niantic has already revealed Pokemon GO's first Raid Day of 2025, as well as a New Year's event that will span the tail end of December into the beginning of January. The new year will also see the return of Egg-spedition Access.
Pokemon GO Teases Debut of Popular Generation 9 Pokemon
Niantic suddenly teases an upcoming Pokemon headed to Pokemon GO in the near future, and it is a species not many would've expected.
Beginning on December 31, players will be able to purchase a ticket to participate in Eggs-pedition Access for the Dual Destiny season. The ticket costs $5 USD as usual, and grants a number of bonuses that should make it easier to do everything from hatching eggs in Pokemon GO to increasing XP and capacity. The ticket can be purchased as early as December 31 and will remain in effect until January 31, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. Local time.
In January, the ticket will grant players the following bonuses:
- 1x single-use Incubator for first daily PokeStop or Gym Spin
- 3x XP for first daily Pokemon catch
- 3x XP for each day's first PokeStop/Gym Photo Disc Spin
- Open up to 50 gifts per day
- Receive up to 150 gifts from spinning Gyms and PokeStops
- Hold up to 40 gifts
What Else Does the Eggs-pedition Access Offer for the Season of Dual Destiny?
In addition to the January ticket bonuses, players can also access January Timed Research. The timed research will be in effect from January 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. To January 31, 8:00 p.m. Player local time. Players who complete the timed research will be rewarded with 15,000 XP and 15,000 Stardust.
Finally, the Web Store is also offering a special ticket box that may be worth considering. Beginning on December 30, players can access the Pokemon GO Web Store to buy a Eggs-pedition Access Ticket Box, which costs $9.99 USD. The box includes Eggs-pedition Access for both January and February, plus an Egg Incubator Backpack avatar accessory. However, this particular box is only available until January 10 at 7:59 p.m. PST, so players shouldn't wait too long to pick it up if they're interested. The full details of what bonuses players can expect from Eggs-pedition Access for February haven't yet been detailed, but players can generally expect XP bonuses and extra gifts, and boosts to hatching eggs in Pokemon GO.
