Some Pokemon GO players are confused and unhappy with the new Costume Party Timed Research, which includes Halloween-themed Pokemon.

In a new tweet, Niantic released an important update about a frustrating issue players have been facing lately. Apparently, some Pokemon GO players have been subject to false bans, due to an issue that has resulted in them receiving suspension or ban messages in the game. Niantic has claimed that the issue has now been resolved, so players who were affected have now been unbanned in the game. However, fans are particularly unhappy with the way that Niantic has dealt with the entire situation due to a couple of reasons.

Pokemon GO Players Unhappy About No Compensation Being Given for False Ban

Firstly, it seems like a lot of players still remain banned. Several Pokemon GO players on Twitter and Reddit noted that they are still getting a ban message while starting the game. In response, Niantic has noted that affected players should reach out to customer support and appeal their ban. Additionally, the fact that there is no compensation for the entire fiasco is something that hasn't gone down well in the community. Considering this entire thing happened during the debut of the Gigantamax feature in Pokemon GO, this essentially meant that players were unable to take part in the raids altogether. As a result, affected users were expecting at least some compensation for the bug alongside a makeup event. However, Niantic hasn't announced either of the two so far.

The Gigantamax feature had a lot more hype surrounding it as compared to the Dynamax feature, as many considered the latter a gimmick. However, the high difficulty level of Gigantamax battles makes it extremely hard for Pokemon GO players to win a raid with less than forty players. With the false ban issue coinciding with this, many local Pokemon GO communities that had arranged meetups for the raids were unable to catch the Pokemon, as some of their team members ended up getting banned. Whether Niantic will compensate players remains to be seen.
