In honor of the release of Detective Pikachu Returns on the Nintendo Switch on October 6th, Pokemon GO is hosting an event centered around the game. This event will allow players to get some nice rewards, bonuses, and even a Pikachu wearing a Detective hat to match the character in the new game, which relates back to the Detective Pikachu game on the 3Ds.
The event will also feature some timed research, which players can complete for extra encounters with the Pikachu wearing a Detective hat. Detective Pikachu Returns Complete Guide
The Pokemon GO will be hosting this Detective Pikachu Returns event from Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. To Monday, October 9, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. Local time. During this time, players will have the opportunity to take part in many different timed research as well as other bonuses and rewards. The bonuses that players can get during this event are double XP and more encounters with Detective Pikachu. There is also limited-time Pokemon that will spawn during the time frame. Detective Pikachu Returns Event Timed Research
Trainers will be able to also get a "Pokemon of interest" for the Professor during the Timed Research storyline. Once this is completed, players will be able to encounter a Detective Pikachu. This Timed Research will expire, so anyone wanting to take part will need to complete it before the event ends on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 8:00 p.m local time.
Players will also be able to pick up a new avatar pose from the in-game shop for their character, which is exclusive to this event.
