Pokemon GO' s Cozy Companions event kicks off on August 6 at 10 am local time and will end on August 12, 8 pm local time. What makes this event worth tuning into, you might ask? Well, it introduces the pair of Grass/Ice types from Gen 8, Snom and Frosmoth.
And, like most other Pokemon GO events, you'll get the chance to complete Research Tasks for some pretty good rewards.

Pokemon GO Cozy Companions Event Bonuses
Until August 12 at 8 pm local time, Pokemon GO players can look forward to the following Bonuses...
- Double XP from hatching your Eggs.
- An extra Special Trade daily (more details on Special Trades here)
- If you use Party Play, the mouse Pokemon, Tandemaus (in all sizes), will show up more often.
- Pokemon's friendship levels will increase faster, which will help a ton with evolving Snom into Frosmoth. You can increase friendship with a Pokemon by basically just interacting with it daily. Battle with them; go on Raids; open gifts, etc.

Besides Snom and Frosmoth making their debut, there are some other Pokemon during the event that will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Abra (can be shiny)
- Geodude (can be shiny)

- Alolan Geodude (Can be shiny)
As far as unique egg hatches go, you can look forward to the following Pokemon showing up more often from 7 km Eggs:
- Galarian Farfetch'd (Can be shiny)
- Pancham (Can be shiny)
- Snom (*Cannot be shiny)
- Charcadet (Can be shiny)
It's worth noting that Snom will still be able to hatch from eggs once the event ends, but only from 5 km ones.
