Pokemon GO: Chansey Community Day Guide

Pokemon GO's Community Day for the month of February is all set to feature Chansey, and fans are quite curious to learn more about what the event has to offer and what rewards they can earn along the way.

Players will be able to take part in the Chansey Community Day from Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. That's not all. Between 5 pm to 10 pm, players will be able to encounter Chansey in 4-star raids, and if they manage to win the raid, more Chansey will spawn around the gym that hosts the raid for 30 minutes. Since the event will be featuring shiny variants of Blissey, Chansey, and Happiny, players will get a much better chance to catch these rare spawns, thanks to the increased spawn rate.

What are the Bonuses for Chansey Community Day?

Extra Catch Candy & More

Shiny Happiny, Shiny Chansey, and Shiny Blissey in Pokemon GO

During the event, players will be able to take advantage of the following bonuses. On top of all this, Happiny will hatch more frequently from 2km eggs, and only Happiny hatch from eggs that are picked during the event and until 10 pm local time.

Incense duration increased to 3-hour
Lure duration increased to 3 hours
2x Catch Candy
2x Chance to receive Candy XL while catching Pokemon
One additional Special Trade up to a maximum of two.

Which Move is Exclusive to Chansey Community Day?

Wild Charge

Players who catch a Chansey during the Community Day will be able to evolve it to Blissey with an event-exclusive charged attack, Wild Charge. During trainer battles, this move will have 100 Power and decrease the user's defense.

For gyms and raids, the attack will have 90 power instead. Apart from that, Blissey will also have its regular moves, which include Pound and Zen Headbutt for Fast Attacks and Hyper Beam, Dazzling Gleam, and Psychic for charged attacks.

It should be noted that players should evolve Chansey during the event to get this special move.

Research Tasks and Rewards For Chansey Community Day

Here's What You Get

Just like the other Community Days, players can take part in the special research, get a chance to complete a variety of tasks, and get some exciting rewards. There are four steps in total, each comprising a variety of tasks. For each task, players will get a reward, and after completing a step, some more rewards are awarded as well.

Players will be able to get both Chansey and Blissey encounters via the special research alongside a plethora of Candies, Stardust, Incense, and other items. It should be noted that players need to buy the ticket to be able to unlock the special research, which will cost $0.99.
