Pokemon GO has announced the Winter Holiday Part 1 event, which marks the debuts of Cetoddle and Cetitan. Holiday celebrations are a recurring theme in Pokemon GO, which every year reserves new content for players.
Pokemon GO is currently in Season 13: Timeless Travels. This time the focus will be Hisuian Pokemon, and after Hisuian Samurott, the next debut will be Wrydeer. Another piece of new content announced during Season 13 is the next edition of the Pokemon GO Tour, featuring Pokemon from Sinnoh. But while the Pokemon GO Tour isn't here, Pokemon GO Season 13 just got the perfect event for the end-of-year atmosphere.
Pokemon GO has announced Winter Holiday Part 1, which will see the debut of Cetoddle and its evolution, Cetitan. The event takes place from December 18 at 10 a.m. To December 25 at 10 a.m. Local time, and in addition to the Gen 9 Pokemon, trainers will see Pikachu and Raichu in Christmas outfits. During the event, the wild encounters will feature a variety of ice-themed Pokemon, such as Alolan Sandshrew, Seel, Swinub, Galarian Darumaka, Cryogonal, Bergmite, and Cetoddle. Other appearances will be of Pikachu, Eevee, Stantler, and Spheal in festive outfits, along with Sneasel, Piloswine, and Amamura. The event announcement confirmed one-star raids with Pikachu and Spheal in festive outfits, Alolan Sandshrew, Crabrawler, and Cetoddle. Meanwhile, Dewgong, Lapras, Stantler, and Glaceon dressed for Christmas, will feature in three-star raids.
Pokemon GO Winter Holiday Part 1

Winter Holiday Part 1 will have a Timed Research allowing trainers to choose their bonus: XP or Stardust doubled for catching Pokemon, in addition to encounters with winter-themed critters. 2 km eggs will hatch Eevee wearing a holiday hat, Smoochum, Galarian Darumaka, and Amaura. The Field Research tasks will reserve spawns of Alolan Sandshrew, Shellder, Jynx, Lapras, Snover, Vanillite, Crabrawler, and festive versions of Pikachu, Delibird, Spheal, Glaceon, and Cubchoo. Winter Holiday Part 1 will also give Mega Energy to Mega Abomasnow and Mega Glalie by completing Field Research Tasks. Two paid tickets will be released during the event, rewarding players with winter-themed Pokemon encounters, Premium Battle Passes, and double Candy when catching Pokemon. In addition, Amazon Prime subscribers will have an avatar and Partner Research item to claim from December 15 to January 19, 2024.
In addition to Cetoddle and Cetitan debuts in Pokemon GO, trainers will have plenty to celebrate over the holidays. In December, Niantic made a big change to the storage of items and Pokemon, increasing the maximum capacity. This weekend will be the last Community Day of the year, and it will have Pokemon from past Community Days. Winter Holliday will have even more news for Pokemon GO players, as this is only the first part of the event.
