In Pokemon GO, Articuno has a Dual-Type combination of Ice as the primary Type, and Flying as the secondary Type. Because of this Type combination, Articuno has weaknesses to Steel, Fire, and Electric, and a 2x weakness to Rock Type Pokemon and moves. For this reason, Trainers should avoid using Articuno in these matchups, as it will struggle immensely. In addition to these weaknesses, Articuno does have some resistances, too, meaning it is more favorable in matchups against Pokemon of the Grass, Bug, and Ground Type.

Articuno is boosted by both Windy and Snowy weather, so Trainers should look to utilize these opportunities for battle whenever possible.
