The Clay event, themed around Clay from Gen 5, is making its way into Pokemon GO. This Battle Weekend revolves around Clay, the Unova region's Gym leader famous for his Ground-types. For every task the participants complete, they can receive several rewards and themed items.

The Clay Event starts July 1 at 12:00 a.m. Local time and will run until July 2 at 11:59 p.m. Local time. Pokemon GO rewards its players as they rise through the game's ranks, but the Battle Weekend separates itself from the regular rewards. Trainers around the globe can earn extra bonuses to be part of the PVP battles in the event. These prizes include Stardust, Rare Candy, a free battle-themed Timed Research, and avatar items based on Clay. Here's everything one needs to know about the Battle Day: Clay Event.
